Concepts nabs yet another exclusive New Balance release with this Northern Lights Pack. The New Balance 574 gets a set of suede and mesh silhouettes that come in purple, navy or green and feature’s a glow in the dark outsole to drive the overall theme home. The Northern Lights Pack will be available for purchase tomorrow at Concepts.

It was all good just a week ago – a statement that would, up until yesterday, describe the great relationship between Reebok and Maybach Music Group CEO Rick Ross. The rapper was a major brand ambassador for Reebok over the past two years during their well documented resurgence in the footwear market. However, their partnership took a major blow today as news broke that Reebok had dropped the rapper from their deal. Of course, this news comes on the heels of controversy surrounding the Miami rapper and a few unforgiving lyrics.

After Ross released the song “U.O.E.N.O.,” there was an immediate uproar about the songs choice lyrics. “Put Molly all in the champagne / She ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoy that / She ain’t even know it.” Those words that now rest in infamy, were a little too much for Reebok to handle. They said in a statement to TMZ, “We hold our partners to a high standard. We expect them to live up to the values of our brand.  Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.” Tough break for Rozay.

LeBron James did not suit up for the much anticipated Easter Day matchup between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. If King James would have played, he was set to debut the Nike LeBron X PS Elite in a turquoise/volt color. The updated sneakers look to feature turquoise color on the majority of the upper with royal blue hits on the lining and midsole. The shoe is highlighted by volt colored laces and accents. A “Superhero” colorway of the LeBron X Eliteis set to hit stores on April 27, but stay tuned to Nice Kicks for the latest information on this make up.

Nike continues to flood shelves with our favorite nostalgic Air Max silhouettes. With some debuting the late 80?s with others in the early 90?s, Nike takes these elder models and updates them with new materials and budding technology. Most notably, engineered mesh engulfs each style in their original schemes. This fusion of old and new helps Nike and sneaker enthusiast pay homage to sneakers of old with innovations of new. These strong heritage models are also exceptionally comfortable and exactly what you need for Spring.

Featuring the Air Max One, Air max 90 and Air Max 180, all models in this great pack come in their OG schemes and engineered mesh iterations. The Air Max One drops in red and obsidian coloring while the Air Max 90 comes in its highly celebrated “Laser Blue” scheme. The 180 rounds out the collections in predominately white coloring with hints of blue and red. The elder models boast a slightly off-white outer while the new variations showcase a much cleaner sole.

The Odd Future frontman, Tyler The Creator, returns to the interwebs today and was apparently in the giving mood today. He let loose of a full stream of his upcoming album, Wolf, which is due out on shelves next week.

The project is a dope collection of eighteen new tracks from the California native MC. Besides showcasing his unique and thoughtful style, Wolf, also includes features from Hodgy Beats, Pharrell, Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, and many more. The Easter holiday is this weekend, and many of us will be hunting for celebratory sneakers from Nike rather than eggs. Releasing on March 29, 2013 is the Nike Basketball “Easter” Collection. Consisting of a Nike Kobe 8, KD V, and Air Max LeBron X Low, all three sneakers are decorating in bright pastel colors just in time to celebrate the coming of spring. The Kobe 8 “Easter” features a fiberglass, court purple, and yellow dipped mesh upper with a speckled midsole. The “Easter” KD V features an all-turquoise blue upper with a multi-colored swoosh and orange lacing and sockliner. Then the LeBron X Low “Easter” is colored completely in a crystal mint makeup with minimal fiberglass and poison green accents.
