The last thing I consider when purchasing anything is function. 

I buy shoes because they are cute, not because they feel good. Sooner or later my feet will go numb anyway- completely blocking the pain.

So when I found my laptop almost on the fritz, I starting looking around. The whole reason I purchased my Sony Viao was because it's pink.

I almost didn't buy it, since the salesman kept asking me what I needed a computer to do for me. I kept telling him to show me all the pink models in the store. He wouldn't stop asking about processors, storage, etc.

Blah, Blah, Blah

I've endured years of ribbing from Mac users about my lame ass PC. They all shut the hell up when I say, "show me a pink Mac and I'll buy it, regardless of price."

Late one night, I put my knee through the screen of Pinky, my beloved Viao. I won't even go into detail about the accident. It's too traumatic.

I'd actually put a Macbook Pro on my birthday list and had several folks asking me questions similar to Sony Salesman.

"What do you need it to do?"

"What size do you want?"

Me: Pink

 I decided to stop being so lame and research these machines all of the cool kids kept bragging about.

Now to me, they seemed to do the same thing my Vaio could do, except in colors other than pink. 

Finally, I got one. I didn't really see what all the hype was about. Still don't...kinda.
