Recent photos of the Air Jordan 1 “Banned” saw labeling we hadn’t seen in years. Not since 2001 had an Air Jordan retro model possessed the “Nike Air” tagging on the tongue or heel. When this change first came about many purists were very upset. Over the last nine years most have gotten accustomed to this practice but would love to see the original branding return. Is Nike Air set to come back on Js? We don’t know for certain but if so here’s 15 OG colorways we want back with Nike Air.
Air Jordan 6 White/Infrared
Originally Released: 1991
Retroed: 2010 (Without Nike Air)
While we recently got these in the “Infrared Pack” there was of course no Nike Air to be seen. The white based colorway of Infrared 6s got passed up during the first run of retros leaving us with only the OG’s baring the classic heel. The chances of finding a pair of the originals is about as good as wearing them and not crumbling. Re-retro please!
